Bitch and Moan Monday Inaugural Post

Photobucket

So...it's the Inaugural Post of the Bitch and Moan Monday theme! Woot woot to Kisha for coming up with this faboosh button! Course, I keep using the word 'Inaugural,' I'm going to keep thinking about baseball. Detroit's got a new field this year.

I tell you what, LDs: I've been taking notes today. I'm going to do a few of them. Don't want to overwhelm you. *evil grin*

Turn signals: they're Not. Illegal. In fact, when I was in driver's ed, it was illegal to NOT use them (still is, as far as I know)! Ya know, nothing pisses me off more than someone slowing down...slowing down... sloooowwwing doooowwwwn...TURN RIGHT! with no more warning than that they slowed down. Makes me want to start carrying a paintball gun around with me in my car and start shooting vehicles (preferably right in an open driver's side window) that don't use the turn signal. I've seen many an accident caused by that very thing (it's in police beat all the time: X traffic incident occurred; so-n-so was issued a ticket for improper lane usage). Assheads.

PETA: (and boy, I might get blasted for this one!) while I think it's an ok group in theory, I don't see anything wrong with humanely obtained fur. Let me say that again: humanely obtained fur. Hunting, for most, is not a sport. My family hunts (deer, mostly. They're easier). Mr Realist's family hunts (deer, squirrel, rabbit, quail). If you've been doing it long enough, you know exactly where to put the shot to cause the animal the most minimal amount of pain before they die. I've never had my aunt tell me that she had to chase down a deer because she didn't get it quite right. She's told me that she did have to follow a big buck for a ways because he refused to go down. Let me get this straight: you'd rather save the animals because 'they have feelings, too', but it's ok for humans to die because they killed someone (don't get me wrong - I'm all for capital punishment, but that's another post for another time)? Erm...wow? Ya know, if I knew how to tan leathers and make hide into wearable items, I'd probably have several things in my wardrobe that consisted of pelts and furs from the animals that the families have hunted and killed for their meat.
O, and I am a card-carrying member of PETA (People Eating Tasty Animals).

House-cleaning: ya know, I wish I could get motivated to clean my house more often. Don't take that the wrong way - my house is not filthy. It does have the normal amount of dust and floor debris and clutter. I have a small plaque that hangs above my pantry that you can see when you walk into my kitchen. It reads:
"Welcome - come in, sit down, relax, converse. Our house doesn't always look like this - sometimes it's even worse!" My theory is that you can draw in my dust. Just don't date it.

What's got you Bitching and Moaning today? Someone piss in your Cheerios? Hubster snored all night (mine's doing it right now). Wore a black sock and a navy sock to work and no one told you? Please do tell me all about it-either in the comments, or preferably, by doing your OWN Bitch and Moan Monday post, grabbing the button, and linking it up here with the rest of us complainers!!!

Bitch away, LDs!

Heepwah, and be safe out there.

Your moaning

  1. Yeah, two posts for the day, woot!

I cracked up laughing over the carrying a paintball gun...I am so with you there! And remind me to tell you the story sometime of how I paintballed my very disrespectful neighbors who wouldn't turn off the very loud mariachi when I was crazy and pregnant and wanted to sleep. It's a good one.

As soon as I become and rich and famous writer (or whore, whatevs), the first purchase on my list is a housekeeper. I'll get you one too.

    Thanks for playing along, lovey!!

  2. *sigh* I love it when a plan comes together! :)
Kish, I'm like a big kid - playtime is the best!

  3. I'm with you on the PETA thing. It's great on paper, but once you include overly-emotional human beings to the mix, it goes all screwy. PETA may have a problem with my Bitch and Moan post, too... Since I'm daydreaming about hiring a hitman (or a lion) to take care of the neighbor's yapping, yammering dogs for me.

  4. You know? I'm bitching and moaning about having to be a douche and ask for help with the book thing. I really, really hate asking for help.

And PETA? They're overzealous. Really. You can quote me.

Be safe out there.
