Day 20-30

OK, LDs. We're going to see how many more we can get through in the next fifteen (all I have left on my lunch hour)....

Day 20: your views on drugs and alcohol.
Let's see...alcohol: I like the occassional adult beverage. Beer, wine, mixies, it all depends on what kind of mood I'm in. If you don't drink, fine. If you do drink, fine. Just don't drink and drive.
Drugs: I used to smoke loads of weed in college. I've since grown out of that phase, but I wouldn't see the harm in legalizing it. I would approach pot like I approach alcohol (since I am a grown-up and shit): recreational. I'd smoke/drink on the weekends when I didn't have work responsibilities.

Day 21: You and your best friend are in a argument; an hour later s/he is in a car accident. What do you do?
I would feel horrible, and most likely, let the argument go. It was probably over something incredibly asinine anyway.

Day 22: Something you wish you hadn't done in your life.
There's quite a bit I wish I hadn't done. I can't narrow it down to one simple thing.

Day 23: Something you wish you had done in your life.
Gotten good enough grades to spend a semester in Wales when I was in college.

Day 24: Make a playlist to someone and explain why you chose the songs (song/artist and letter).
Well, shit. I'll have to think on this one.

Day 25: The reason you're still alive today.
Colleen and Camp Ondessonk.

Day 26: Have you ever thought about giving up on life? When and why?
So, air my dirty "I tried to kill myself" laundry? Only once and it was because I was tired of life and being a mother and a teenager all in one.

Day 27: What's the best thing going for you right now?
I have a very happy marriage. I love Mr Realist with all my heart, and he knows it.

Day 28: What if you were pregnant/got someone pregnant, what would you do?
Aside from puke/laugh/pass out? Bake a baby to the best of my abilities, birth that baby in any means possible, and then try not to go insane raising a mini Ms Dreamer/Mr Realist.

Day 29: Something you hope to change about yourself and why.
Weight. I know I bitch about it way more than I should, but my goal is to start doing 20 minutes every day beginning 12/1. After the first of the year, my goal is to start the Couch to 5K program (helped by an iPhone app). I'm 60 pounds overweight, and my blood pressure is consistantly in the 160/90-100 range. Doc's concerned I'm going to have a stroke. Yeah...at 32.

Day 30: A letter to yourself, telling EVERYTHING you love about yourself.
Dear self.
How do I love thee? Let me count the ways:
Your eyes. Your smile. Your mind and your soul. Your personalities.
Because you're you.

There. There's my 30 Days. Went a little over, though.

Fuckers. :)

Heepwah, and be safe out there.

Day One

Well...we've made it through Day One of 5.30am walking. We have a route that takes us just under 20 minutes for now. This is going to suck, but we're going to slog through it.

Fat Ass, here we come!

Mrs Dreamer
Height: 5'4 3/4"
Weight: 228lbs (just weighed on the industrial scale at work on Friday)
Measurements (Left/Right):
Bicep - 17/17
Breast - 48.75
Waist - 48.5
Hips - 55
Thigh - 31/29.5

I'm only going to chart measurements once a month. I used to have a semi-hourglass figure (waist was markedly different than breast/hips, which had always been close in size since I got them).

We're going to get it back.

Heepwah, and be safe out there.

Your sick of being 'pleasingly plump'

Responsibility

Sorry for not posting for, like, a zill years. Been busy.

~~I'm still working on the 2010 Book Challenge. I'm about finished with one of them on my list, and I just received a plastic grocery sack full of books from my mumsy. She loves me. :) I told her what she needed to do was to keep me updated on the books she's reading, and I'll keep track of them here for her; kind of like a mini-challenge between me and her (I think I'll win).

~~Picked out flower colors for my sister-in-law who is getting married in August. I'm helping plan the wedding...but I'm not the MOH (matron...I'm married). Nope, I'm first in, first out, last in line. Darker colors of dresses (which I got to pick mine up this afternoon. Yay), and the flowers are yellows and cream and red and white and peach. Surprisingly, they look good against the color swatches that I bought.

~~Monday, February 1 is D-Day. Not like December's D-Day, but the kind of D-Day that happens when you're 60 (no, that's not a typo. 60. Six-zero.) pounds overweight. I did well in high school dropping weight when I was running. Let's see if I can do it again.

I want to run at least one 5K this year. My friend Jessi and I (Mr. Realist said he'd go if he could wear all Cards gear...) are planning on running the Race to Wrigley in Chicago this year. I'm definitely not in it to win it. I'll settle for finishing on my own steam. That race is in April. We are definitely running the Beaverthon in September/October for our alma mater's Homecoming. Gonna try to win that one.

But there's also a Polar Plunge that I'm partnering into with my friend Jen. It's in Springfield, and it's to raise money for the Special Olympics. I've written about her before, but Jen's (and her hubby A) daughter Ainsley has Down syndrome. I'm going to start getting my shiz together and hitting people up for donations. I've got to have $75 in order for me to take the plunge. I'm going to freeze my ass off...wait, that might be good. I need to lose an ass (or seven)....

Doing a Couch to 5K thing means that I'm going to HAVE to blog every night I run. Let you know how I feel, what I listened to or what Mr. Realist and I talked about (if we can talk over the sounding like Big Bad Wolves). If I don't blog that night or the next day, call me out on it. PLEASE. I'm tired of being fat (and I'm tired of Mr. Realist being fat, but he's "perfectly happy". I'm not happy with either of us being the way we are, and I'm doing something about it).

Call me out on it. I dare you.

No, really. I dare you to call me out.

Please. Call me out if I don't.

Heepwah, and be safe out there.

Wanna be sexy again,
Mrs. Dreamer
Be safe out there.
