Today

Sitting here, eating my lunch, something just struck me as a bit off.

I'm sure everyone's heard that today, something will happen that won't happen for another one thousand years. Time and date would be 12 hours, 34 minutes, 56 seconds on the seventh month, eighth day, ninth year of the century. So it looks like this: 12:34:56 7/8/09

And that everyone missed it at 12.34 this morning.

HOWEVER...
If you want to get technical (or military, as the case may be), the hour this morning would have been 00:34:56, not 12:34:56....so this only happened in the afternoon, when the time is actually 12:34:56.

OR...
If you're a little more literal-minded, you could say it won't happen again for another one thousand years, and it'll happen twice - once in the morning, once in the evening. 12:34:56am and 12:34:56pm, just as it did today.

Bizarre, isn't it?

Just had to let you know what I was thinking (and it's usually something mental like this!)
